Kia Ora, we are Michaela and John!!

We are husband and wife, raising four free souls - wild, beautiful and deeply loved in sunny Gisborne NZ and we are the owners of Lend Me The Dress.

I (Michaela) am also owner of @wee_wild_folk_photography, It’s like my other baby — a beautiful blend of hobby and passion, something that fills my soul.

We believe no one should miss out on feeling absolutely a million dollars and their best for whatever occasion they have coming up or just because they want to feel amazing and that is where Lend Me The Dress comes in. Being able to empower every female and little girl to wear the outfit they always dreamed of.

After realising how much damage the fast-fashion industry is doing to our planet, and my own journey of trying to find the perfect gowns to fit the vision I had for my maternity shoots. We made the decision to offer a rental service to women and girls across all of New Zealand where they could wear an absolutely stunning gown and then return it back making it more sustainable on our planet and at a fraction of the price. 

We aim for only the top quality garments that are flowy, romantic with bohemian vibes. We offer one of a kind dresses with some being only available on our store. 

It is such a joy to provide women and girls all across New Zealand with a chance to experience some of the most beautiful and sought-after garments without the hefty price tag and more importantly, without the environmental impact. Every dress that is not purchased saves our natural resources from being depleted and stops waste from going into landfill.
